VI. I interviewed two individuals to see what their response would be to my (our) plan. Their responses are as follows.

Mrs. Mathews Math office teacher.

“No. I am not for t he bill. We would pay more taxes because everything would round up to the nickel. Imagine the gas prices."

Mrs. Ventimilla- Counseling office secretary

"Absolutely not! The penny is an American thing it identifies us. How could we make 11 cents or 21 cents? It would be impossible. I use pennies to teach my children how to save money and how to count. They are a good learning tool. They are not wasteful."




VII. My (our) answer, based on our research, to their objections and concerns are

The abolition of the penny is debatable both ways. Both sides of the argument have strong evidence. However we continue to believe that the penny should be abolished. President Lincoln is well represented in other places such as the five dollar bill. He is also well known all around the country. He would be ashamed to be on the face of the penny,
